In general, we aim to keep it simple. We've refined this list over the years and dare we say, it may be perfect! Take everything you need, but not a bunch of extra. It just complicates things and makes your bags even heavier!
Pre & Post Race
Phone/Watch/Bike computer/Bike chargers
Headphones/books for plane
Cleaning wipes (especially if you're doing your own bike assembly!)
Bike tools/small hand pump (include electrical tape- comes in handy a lot)
Personal medications (including vitamin C and maybe dramamine for the plane)
Snacks- lots of snacks!
Water bottle in carry on luggage
Hand sanitizer
If international- power converters
If international- passports
Extra workout clothes (including extra swim cap)
Maybe sunscreen depending on location
Portable charger for phone on plane
Compression socks for drive/flight home
Compression boots (maybe, if there's room)
Plastic baggies and rubber bands- we always use them for something!
Toiletries
